NEW YORK – APRIL 9, 2014 – Chungdahm Learning, an education company based in South Korea, has announced plans to partner with leading adaptive learning company Knewton. Chungdahm Learning, the first major learning company planning to work with Knewton in Asia, will use Knewton’s infrastructure to create digital lessons that continuously adjust to each student’s unique needs.
“With Knewton we can develop advanced digital learning products that are tailored to each individual,” said Sydney Si, Managing Director, Strategy Division at Chungdahm. “We plan to use Knewton to enhance our portfolio of products that students use both at home, in the classroom, and within after-school study programs, popularly known as hagwons in the region.”
“We look forward to working with Chungdahm to create adaptive learning materials for students in South Korea and globally,” said Jose Ferreira, Founder and CEO, Knewton. “We’ve witnessed a growing demand for adaptive learning technology among publishers across Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and beyond. Together with Chungdahm, we can bring more personalized learning materials to more students around the globe.”
Chungdahm Learning plans to use the Knewton API to enable its products to continuously recommend what each student should study next, helping to better engage each learner. As students progress through a Knewton-powered Chungdahm digital course, Knewton technology will analyze data to figure out what each student knows and what they need to work on. Educators will be able to access Knewton-powered predictive analytics to detect gaps in knowledge and differentiate instruction.
Chungdahm joins a growing list of top global learning companies, publishers, universities, and schools partnering with Knewton to personalize digital courses.
