The Knewton Blog

Processing is an open source programming language and environment for people who want to code their own animation, interactions and data visualization. It shows tons of potential for fun, interactive educational and gaming applications. Check out the project gallery to see some examples, ranging from the silly to the sublime. Project initiators Ben Fry and Casey Reas say they made it “to teach fundamentals of computer programming within a visual context and to serve as a software sketchbook and professional production tool. Processing is an alternative to proprietary software tools in the same domain.”

Anthony Mattox has made some particularly compelling artworks with Processing:

Processing is free to download and available for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows. Have fun!

what does this have to do with test prep?

Nice shots!!! I do recommend these educational technology activities in enhancing the accurate observation skills of students using all of their senses…Actually these are useful in developing abstract reasoning test answering skills…
I use this particular activity in my educational technology classes with a title “An Eye for a Shot”. Teachers should develop their keen sense of observation in pinpointing possible troublemakers and potential student leaders in classes as well as the need for the educational softwares to convert their weaknesses into strengths and enhance their talents.
    More power to Knewton faculty…

Nothing at all. We just think it’s interesting, and folks engaged in education and technology might find it interesting or useful too.
